* Eskom management says it is unable to give a definitive date on when rolling blackouts will end.
* Thuli Madonsela is set to be subpoenaed to appear before the Parliamentary inquiry into suspended Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s fitness to hold office. Mkhwebane’s lawyers asked for the subpoena after Madonsela apparently failed to indicate whether she would testify voluntarily. The Section 194 Committee has now agreed to summon Madonsela.
* The trial of alleged serial rapist and killer Themba Dube is expected to resume in the High Court in Polokwane, Limpopo, today. Four more witnesses testified on the second day of the trial yesterday. Dube is being tried on charges of kidnapping, raping and killing seven women in and around Polokwane in 2021.
